First of all, every comand given should be in lower case and one word, such as "swing", "collect" or "apply". However, the gems and plants must be capitalised (not all caps!). In cases such as "use" and "apply", a second comand must be given after, declaring the item to use or modify.
For a first run, you should only need these commands:
Secondly, for obvious reasons, you cannot fire your crossbow while it isn't loaded, and it doesn't start combat loaded. If the game ever seems frozen, try using the "continue" command. If that doesn't work, your device sucks or you have too many tabs open because this game should not be able to crash anything more complex than a grape.
And finaly, you will respawn at the most recent Spring you passed, but only once. You will not respawn at a Spring in the previous zone, or behind one you've dried up by dying.
